Specialty Training Class Descriptions:
True H.i.i.T. - High-intensity interval training is an exercise strategy that improves cardiovascular performance and sheds fat using short bouts of intense training coupled with rest periods. True H.i.i.T. is not all work and no play however, as there are team and partner kettlebell, rope, TRX and bodyweight exercises featured throughout. Let's Move!
Bodyweight Only - Build a classically strong physic using the only tool you will ever need...YOU! Cardio + strength, old school classic exercises + functional newbies = CUT! Let's Move!
TRX - Suspension training is a revolutionary method of leveraged bodyweight exercises that builds power, strength, flexibility and balance. With a variety of adjustments and skilled instruction, this new functional piece will keep you agile and mobile for years to come. Let's Move!
Kettlebell/Ropes - Combining the unparalleled results of kettlebell strength conditioning with the high intensity cardio of battling rope training that is sure to rock your body. Featuring heart wrenching circuits, ladders and tabatas, 25 minutes will be all you can stand. Let's Move!
Boxing Fitness - Learn the basics of the skill of boxing from putting your hip into your punches, footwork, defensive techniques and boxing cardio to strengthen your heart and lungs. This class has a progressive style training that starts with the basics and moves to advance techniques. This is a 60 minute class and requires two punches on the H.i.i.T. card per class.
Pilates P.r.o.P. - is more then your average Pilates Mat class. Utilizing some new tools to amp up your workout, Pilates P.r.o.P. will be just the challenge you need. Build upon classical Pilates work using foam rollers, magic circles and more.
Be sure to arrive at least 10 minutes early if this is your first specialty training class! You will be pushed in these classes, but it is important that you listen to your body and stop if necessary. Be sure to discuss any medical concerns with your instructor before class begins.
Rates and Fees
- $60/members (punch card good for 8 - 25 min. classes, 4 - 50 min. classes or a combination of the 2)
- $85/non-members (punch card good for 8 - 25 min. classes, 4 - 50 min. classes or a combination of the 2)
- $12.50 - (good for 1 - 25 min. class)
- $25 - (good for 1 - 50 min. class)
Punchcards are purchased at the front desk of the Federal Way Community Center.
